Integration of STEM Education in Differential and Integral Calculus classes: Aspects Evidenced in a Mathematical Modelling Activity

Background: The integration of STEM areas (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in courses has been the focus research educational context mathematical modelling potential for its success. Objectives: question that guides discussion is: What aspects education can be evidenced when students develop activities a virtual environment within scope Differential Integral Calculus course? Design: Qualitative carried out second half 2020, based on design guidelines, subject during remote teaching. Setting Participants: Virtual shared by two classes with 72 from different development activity. Data collection analysis: 18 groups were collected virtually notes wiki, audio or video recordings group meetings orientation meetings, activity communication individual response to questionnaire. analysis was an initial coding data all groups, support AtlasTi, which three selected detailed related education. Results: Some naturally integrate four others carry this partial way.
